Anchor Splash Anchor Splash
Anchor Splash® is an annual swim meet. Delta Gamma coaches assist teams from other campus groups in relays and synchronized swimming routines. Following Anchor Splash, Gamma Upsilon hosts Anchor Bash, an alcohol free party with food, raffles and music in celebration of the Anchor Splash teams.
Proceeds benefit the National Foundation and the other half is given to an endowed fund for Heathers Camp, Inc. through the Wichita Community Foundation.
Planning for the 2011 Anchor Splash is currently underway. To participate, or for more information, please contact Tori Eck, director of Anchor Splash at tori.eck.cof_gmail.com.
Envision Kids Club Envision Kids Club
This support group for children with visual impairments is a major priority for our chapter. Envision is an organization located in our hometown, Wichita, Kansas! This year, Envision honored us as their volunteers of the year.
The main focus of Envision is building self-esteem, improving interpersonal skills and establishing friendships in visual impaired children. We hold monthly functions during which DG's interact one-on-one with the children. In the past year, we have created events specifically designed for teens to provide a network of support as they face common problems encountered by teenagers with disabilities. Events include Fall & Valentines Day bowling, Halloween Party, Christmas Party, Anchor Bash, and one of our main ones, Casino Night.

Golden Anchor Program Golden Anchor Program
Our chapter participates in the
Golden Anchor program which
focuses on service to senior citizens.
We volunteer at Larksfield Place, a
retirement home nearby in Wichita,
Kansas, by playing bingo with residents
and holding a baking show for them.
We also visit Chaucer Estates and attended
chapel with the residents.

Born to James and Lois Muller on September 21, 1975, Heather Muller attended high school at Kapaun Mount Carmel. She went on to Wichita State, where she majored in audiology and was an active member of Delta Gamma. After graduating in May 1998, Heather worked with kids at Rainbows United. She died while pursuing her master's in early childhood special education. Heather would have completed her master's degree May 2001. She impacted hundreds of people throughout her life. Though she is gone, we know she is present each time a person shows love to a child with disabilities.
New Eyes for the Needy New Eyes for the Needy

to send to this worthwhile organization.

seven million visually impaired
impoverished people. Residents of the
United States are given vouchers with
which to purchase new prescription
eyeglasses. New Eyes sends reusable
donated eyeglasses to medical missions
and international charitable organizations
in over 25 countries.
